Want to look and FEEL fearless for your Boudoir photoshoot? Not a clue where to start? Not to worry! My top 10 list of where to buy lingerie for your boudoir session should have you feeling fabulous in no time!
As a boudoir and wedding photographer, I’m constantly surrounded by women who just want feel incredible. Working with every budget, style and body type, I’ve been able to use my expertise and experience on recommendations for lingerie brands with specific pieces that always flatter and accentuate YOU! You’ll be spoilt for choice!
The fact is, there isn’t a one stop shop for everything. So many factors come into play including your own personal style, colour choice and comfort levels. But the good news is having a starting place will help your shopping experience be an enjoyable, fun…and maybe even a daring one. Be prepared to get excited and fill your shopping baskets!
In no particular order:
Honey Birdette - I LOVE Honey Birdette! It’s a personal favourite of mine and really is the epitome of luxury. With everything from robes and bodysuits to lingerie separates., available in sizes up to 40F and XXL. I have found that their sizing can be snug, so double check your measurements and their sizing guide.
2. Ann Summers - A British staple really for women and lingerie. They have something for everyone….whether you’re looking something cute or something naughty,there’s something for every taste and often have a good sale section. Available in sizes up to UK26 and 44H. Make up by the incredible Jess of Make Me Up - MUA & Beauty.
3. Primark - Controversial I KNOW! But it really does have some beautiful pieces, so many lingerie sets and bodysuits have been pulled out and I’ve been shocked that they’re from Primark! Each collection sizes differently but they do cater for DD+ and are incredible affordable with pieces from just a fiver! They even have a small online section available at the moment, at that price you could buy JUST for your session if didn’t have the best hold.
4. Bluebella - If you’re looking for something daring and black is your thing, check this website out. Their sale is really good when they have one and their Aura Basque is a favourite of mine! Sizes available up to a 38G and 16, so not the widest range compared to some others but some fearlessly sexy pieces if they cater for your size.
5. What Katie Did - If you love Vintage looking lingerie, then What Katie Did is the place for you. In sizes up to 18 and a 40F, the range is accommodating and is working on expanding. The range is a little more expensive due to it’s niche but worth every penny, they have a lovely little range of corselettes and corsets if you’re looking to really get to grips with your inner Bettie Paige!
6. Shein - Now…if you’re petite, Shein could be the goldmine for you. They go up to a 12/14 which is more like a 10/12 BUT they have some beautifully colourful pieces. They have everything from separates, sets, fancy to casual, robes and bodysuits. It’s cheap enough that if it doesn’t fit it doesn’t mater, just like Primark - perfect for a budget!
7. Pour Moi - With 112 sizing combinations up to 44J, these guys cater for the curves! They cover the sexy and the cute as well as various coverage - the choice is really yours!
8. Boux Avenue - The avenue designers have a way of creating beautiful lingerie with a cheeky twist and I love it! Their styles can be perfect for a bit shoot glam and then be worn again and again for an everyday boost! Available in all colour ways there’s something for everyone, you won’t be disappointed.
9. Playful Promises - Lingerie with a damn purpose! This year, this brand have become a personal favourite of mine for style and fit! Their style and sizing range is incomparable, everything has a vintage flare and 100% pretty. Not to mention the collaborations with people like Dita Von Teese & Fuller Figure Fuller Bust - Georgina are ground-breaking in style and diversity in the lingerie world.

10. ASOS - With new collections updated weekly and monthly, you could stumble across a total gem! Tasha went bold with her sets which included a green silk set similar to the hot pink, available in sizes 2-34 for everyday comforts (perfect for those t-shirts and cuppa shots) to lace filled sets and everything in between. Not comfortable in a set? No problem - choose a body suit or teddy for comfort but equal sass!
