Wedding Photographer of the Year 2018 | North

This month has been an absolute world wind of a time! The nomination for Photographer of the Year 2018 was an absolute honour on it's own, to simply be in that category with 30+ wonderful photographers was an incredible feeling! So, off we went to Manchester where the Awards Ceremony was being held at the Piccadilly Mercure Hotel.

 Of course, my partner Richard joined for the evening and in true style I found I'd picked the same dress as another finalist. Every woman's worst nightmare at one of these events right? Not Mine!  Obviously, we both just had great taste! (For those wondering it was from the Abbie Clancy Collection at Next).

 We had a fabulous dinner and were seated with the lovely team from Vallum Farm. These guys won the venue Award for their area...huge Congratulations! Well...to my surprise (and absolute shock)...we won both the category Regional and Overall! I still can't believe it happened, but it was an fabulous evening and I'm so honoured and pleased to have been nominated (and won). I'm so passionate and in love with what I get to do, it's such a wonderful feeling to know that my couples and other people see that. 

A huge thank you to the team at Creative Oceanic for the event. Not to mention Tabitha, the host, was a life saver with a hair brush!
